This patient came in with a deflation of her right breast saline breast implant.  She originally had her augmentation 11 years ago and woke up with a smaller, deflated breast.  This is what a saline breast implant deflation looks like.  The nice thing about saline versus silicone leaks is that the patient notes an obvious change and calls for an appointment.  With silicone, ultrasound or MRI scans needs to be done every 2 years to monitor for leaks.  She is shown here before and several weeks after replacement with 375cc silicone gel allergan natrelle breast implants 375SSM.  It is important for any patient considering breast implants to understand that they do not last forever and will likely need be replaced in time.
