This 55-year-old lady came to me stating that several years ago she had saline breast augmentation and that she woke up one morning with a leaking breast implant. She denied any trauma recently to the breast. This is often the story that ladies simply wake up with a deflated appearing breast. This is the nice thing about saline breast implants versus silicone. If a saline implant leaks it becomes immediately obvious whereas with silicone MRI is needed every few years in order to monitor for leaks. She is shown before and after replacement of her saline implant a few weeks after surgery.
