Breast Augmentation Revision: Patient 2
This is a patient with saline implants for many years who experienced a deflation of the right implant. As you can see in the preoperative photograph a saline rupture is very obvious. The saline simply absorbs and the volume of the breast goes away. Patients call the office stating their implant is leaking, deflated, popped, ruptured, or use similar terms to describe what is going on. The nice thing is that the rupture is obvious. The upsetting thing is that surgery is required to replace the implant with a new implant. This patient is shown with her ruptured implant followed by replacement with nice new symmetric implants.
