Microneedling treatments are not nearly as uncomfortable as they sound. The tiny needles quickly move in and out of the skin, and patients tolerate it very well. Occasionally patients can bruise or have little marks from the treatment which can last a day or two so this is best performed several days before important events. There is minimal recovery, and you can return to your normal activities immediately after your treatment. While your skin will likely feel smoother and softer after the very first microneedling, we usually recommend a series of 3 to 8 treatments spaced 4 to 5 weeks apart to maximize your results.
