Breast Augmentation #32151

This is a young lady who came in looking for breast implants. After discussing the differences between saline and silicone breast implants she decided to have saline implants. Saline implants feel less natural and have a tendency to ripple more than silicone breast implants do but monitoring of the implants over the years following breast enhancement is much easier. If a saline implant ruptures (leaks) the fluid is absorbed by the body and the breast gets smaller. This is not something the lady can miss and thus zero follow-up screening is required. There is no need to come see her surgeon nor go for MRI. Implants do leak and a prospective patient needs to understand the potential for further surgery to replace implants.  Here is a before and after 375c moderate profile implants.
