This mommy makeover case involved two procedures performed together on a 55-year-old woman weighing 135 lbs. On the abdomen, we performed a full abdominoplasty with muscle repair, removing the excess abdominal skin visible in the before photo and tightening the underlying rectus muscles. For the breasts, this was a revision case: the existing implants were downsized from 390 saline to 245cc silicone and a breast lift revision was performed at the same time to reposition the nipple-areola complex and reshape the breast envelope around the smaller implants. She had a previous breast lift 16 years ago which was revised. Galaflex mesh was used to give extra support to the breasts. These internal mesh bras are an off-label use of Galaflex but often used when needed for extra soft tissue support. The after photo shows the low horizontal abdominoplasty scar still maturing, the navel repositioned at the midline, and the breasts sitting higher on the chest wall at a reduced volume. She is very happy with her new body at 3 months! Scars will continue to fade over the next year.
