These are before and after photos of a young lady who came in for breast enhancement. We discussed pros and cons of different implant types and fills including saline versus silicone. The pros of silicone are that they look and feel more natural. With sixth generation Motiva Breast Implants the leakage rate at 10 years is around 1% which also is a phenomenal improvement in implant technology. Unfortunately no implant lasts forever so in my practice the recommendation is to get ultrasounds starting at 5 years postoperative and then every 2 to 3 years to screen for leaks. This patient received two different sizes to adjust for natural asymmetry and 375cc on the right and 355cc on the left. I used Motiva Full profile SmoothSilk Round breast implants in a submuscular location. She is delighted with her result!
