VOLUMA – Injectable Filler
VOLUMA is Allergan’s most volumizing filler and is great for cheeks and the midface. Evan Sorokin, MD, a plastic surgeon in New Jersey, uses VOLUMA to restore the contours of the face by subtly filling in the apples and hollows of the cheeks.
After treatment, patients feel and look younger with fuller cheeks and softer wrinkles in the areas around the nose and mouth. It is only available to patients over 21 years old.
Convenient Downtown Location for VOLUMA Treatments
Injectable and laser treatments are available at our Philadelphia location in Head House Square.
To find out how injectable fillers can help you look younger, request a consultation with Dr. Sorokin in Cherry Hill or Philadelphia.
Before the injection, Dr. Sorokin will clean the skin and apply a topical anesthetic to minimize discomfort. VOLUMA injections usually take 10 minutes to fill the apex, apples, and hollows of the cheeks. Patients usually compare the sting of the injection to less than an insect bite. Patients are able to leave immediately after the procedure and return to light activity.
What To Expect
VOLUMA provides instant, visible results that can last up to 2 years. Patients may experience mild to moderate tenderness, swelling, bruising, redness, itching, discoloration, firmness, or bumps at the site of the injections that may last for 2-4 weeks after the procedure.
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is found naturally in the body as an agent that helps bind water to cells. Natural HA in the face creates lift and volume in the cheeks and mid-face.
VOLUMA is one of many injectable fillers that can be used with or without wrinkle relaxers, like BOTOX, to meet a patient’s cosmetic goals. Dr. Sorokin will discuss all of the options during the initial consultation and help the patient to create a custom treatment plan to achieve their desired look.
Patients are allowed to return to their regular activities immediately after a treatment. Dr. Sorokin encourages patient to avoid exercise and other strenuous activities for at least 24 hours after any procedure.
Treatment provides instant results that can last up to 2 years. The amount of time will vary in each patient based on which areas received injections and how fast the patient’s body breaks down the filler.
