• Stocking the kitchen with nutritious, ready-to-eat meals and snacks. Although some medications can diminish your appetite, it’s important to nourish yourself while your body heals. Popular choices include smoothies, low-salt soups, and fresh fruit.
• Filling your prescriptions in advance.

• Preparing your home. Many patients find that they go through a “nesting” period before surgery.
