Breast Augmentation: Patient 54

Breast Augmentation: Patient 54

Rapid recovery breast enhancement is a term used to describe breast augmentation using techniques to allow a lady to quickly return to pre-surgical activity. There are many different surgeons out there who use this term to describe many different surgical techniques. There is no one "rapid recovery" technique. In fact many surgeons who claim "rapid recovery" do not really deliver this. Dr. John Tebbetts of Dallas, Texas was the pioneer of quick recovery techniques. I was lucky enough to train at the University of Texas Southwestern and learned the facets of these techniques early on. "24 hour" recovery is a much better term. In my practice I refer to "24 hour recovery" as a likely and predictable recovery for over 90% of my patients. Many patients describe being able to go out for dinner that night. No special nerve blocks, compressive bras, binders, drains, or pain pumps will be needed. Using very specific surgical techniques I expect your recovery to be quick and predictable. Will there be soreness? Of course. Will the breasts need to take shape over time postoperatively? Of course. Will you need days an days off from work and weeks of narcotic pills? No. This patient is shown before and after placement of 275cc silicone gel moderate plus implants.
